How do you know someone's heart? The scripture says, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:21).

God's heart can be described as with a burning desire for people. It is His passion.

​

The gospel says that God created man, man rejected God, God pursues man to extreme ends - giving His Son to die. He spends so much effort because of His love for us. His heart overflows into action. Psalm 103:8 says, "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." Abounding in love towards us!

​

His people are important to Him. His relationship with His creation is important to Him. Even for as corrupt of a people we are/can become, God can simply destroy us if we weren't a priority (Exodus 32:7) .

​

Know that we are so important to God that He would at all costs reach the one lost member... the one hurting member (Luke 13:10).

​

God longs for that right relationship with us and left us with the right example to show His heart to the world (Luke 13:34; Luke 15; John 3:16).

​

Let us show God's heart this week in our desire to spread the gospel and reach one - while ensuring that the 99 are kept safe.
