Biblical Authority

This week we were presented with a short discussion on biblical authority and application. How does one apply the law to their daily life? Is everything to be examined and interpreted in a literal context?

We were presented with the CENI principle of interpreting scripture. While exploring, we were advised that like all processes of interpretation, CENI must be used to come to right conclusions or misuse them and come to wrong ones. Because they can be abused, however, we must not cast them aside. We must use them correctly for should we fail to do so, we would not understand God’s will for us today.
